Stephen Brantley, President and Chairman

“Today’s world has an unlimited number of compelling and challenging issues that create shortages of the very basics needs for life. Having grown up in a small, East Texas town and moving to Houston as a young man, it had always been my desire to affect the world in a positive way. With a desire to move beyond conversation, I have actively been involved with humanitarian efforts in developing countries for the last 25 years. Out of this work, it became clear that we needed a more focused approach.
We realized that in order to maximize our efforts, we should address the needs of children. Affecting a child’s life in a positive way would create a better child, a better family, and a better community. From this work and idea, our mission became clear: provide children that live in developing countries with essential nutrients through meals and vitamins, as well as hygiene and educational resources.
Realizing that we were making a difference, we recognized the need for committed and able partners, locally and abroad, to help us carry out our mission in an effective and sustainable manner. In response to these needs, Nourish the Children Foundation was formed. Nourish the Children provides a way in which we can partner and fund with individuals and organizations that share our vision. Our partners connect with and understand the impact of providing essential meals, vitamins, hygiene, and educational resources to children affected by economic challenges. Our partners understand the power that their contributions make upon the life of a child and thus improve the future of those communities.
We currently have projects in the Philippines, with future plans to expand, and have adopted the best practices for project management, reporting, and evaluation as a well as guidelines for financial accountability to enhance and ensure success for each project. Nourish the Children is thankful to have the opportunity to work with capable, committed partners. Through our original idea to “help feed malnourished children,” we have developed a sincere conviction to be a resource for the hungry. We hope you share this vision and we ask you to partner with us in this worthwhile endeavor.”
